My band The Long Harvest had a great time recording at Forge studios. We do a bit of Americana and rock, and Josh got a really great drum sound for us. The studio is filled with great gear as well. We had the luxury of tracking a couple of songs completely live with vocals, without having to worry about instrument mic bleed. Other songs we did with a click and a guide vocal. Josh is also brilliant with suggestions on the arrangements - the right balance between taking an interest in your music without being overly opinionated about it!Posted on Google
Teresa HeapyJosh was absolutely wonderful: calm, professional and encouraging. He added things we wouldn't have thought about; he knew when we needed breaks; he pushed us when we needed it. He also noticed things about our sound we hadn't noticed before which have been very helpful to bear in mind! The studio itself had everything we needed in a picturesque and friendly atmosphere. Can't recommend enough.Posted on Google
Rob EarlGreat little studio. Josh was really encouraging and got a really good performance out of us without it feeling pressured.Posted on Google
Anthony KlugeA brilliant day finishing off the mix of one of our songs at Forge Studios. Josh has done a great job on the track and we're super excited to have it released :) The studio itself is a lovely location and really comfortable and we will definitely use their services again!Posted on Google
Donald BannisterWent in to do a day of tracking drums. The in house kit was already mic’d & sounded great so after choosing which of my cymbals & snares to use we were up & running doing takes within an hour of my arrival. Was super simple working with Josh at the controls & really easy to tweak the sound as we went from track to track. He has a great producer head & knows his gear so was a great help with creative direction & choices and bouncing ideas around. The atmosphere was very chilled and I had a really productive day. I managed to get everything I needed in the can. He provided me with project files & raw stems afterwards so I can continue with the project to my own schedule. The tracks sounded amazing & allowed me to capture some of my best studio performances to date. Would highly recommend Forge studios & working with Josh on any project to anyone. I definitely intend to go back for the next batch of songs I need drum tracking for.Posted on Google

ZoëIt was my first experience of a recording studio and what a great one! Josh was really chilled and put my nerves at ease whilst putting in a lot of work and helpful suggestions as I recorded some cover songs. I hope to visit the studio again in the near future. Thanks, Josh!Posted on Google
Matthew BeesleyExcellent studio, and Josh did a great production job. He captured the natural sound of the band and knew where production techniques could be used to enhance the music, or where they might harm it. His suggestions were appropriate and appreciated, and he quickly formed a strong working relationship with the band.Posted on Google
